Cavity Wall Insulation
About a third of all heating is lost through the walls in an insulated home. The insulation Company can properly insulate your home, helping you save on your heating bills, and saving on energy. Better protected and properly insulated homes can save you and your family money each year from rising energy costs.
Why Choose Cavity Wall Insulation? Most cavity walls can be insulated by injecting a small bead-like material into the cavity from the outside of the building. This means minimal disruption for the homeowner and tenants, the team at The Insulation Company just require access to power points. We drill small holes in intervals around the outside of the building and then using specialist equipment the bead is blown into the walls. There is a specific pattern followed for each type of property in order to have the walls filled. Once your home is properly insulated, we will then fill the holes in the brick work so you will barely see them or even know we have been there.
Our high-quality loft insulation can deeply improve a properties EPC rating which in turn improves the properties worth at the point of sale or rental.
Most homes in The UK are either built of solid brick or cavity wall, prior to 1900 most homes are made of a solid brick, which means that often that have no insulation. Internal wall Insulation |
The Insulation Company, offering internal wall insulation. A perfect solution for those that cannot alter the externals of their house. Homes that are of a certain age are under listed buildings regulations, or rural clients who live in conservation areas and are unable to get planning permission on the house.
The team create a dry lined insulated internal wall, room by room, on the existing walls of your home. This usually takes about 10cm space from your existing walls, and all fixtures and fittings can be out back on as normal.
Rigid foam boards of insulation (such as Kingspan or Celotex) are considered the best option as they are thinner and take up less floor area on the existing walls. Insulating your internal walls not only reduces heat loss but also provides a perfect acoustic environment, keeping unwanted noises down to a minimum, or creating a luxury space for a cinema or games room, for you and your family.

Room In the Roof Insulation
A room in the roof or attic space is defined by the presence of having a fixed staircase to access the room. Around 25% of all heating is lost through uninsulated room in the roof. The team at The Insulation company can help you properly insulate your rooms and cut down the cost of your energy bills.
Insulation is installed between the rafters underneath the existing plaster board walls to help trap the heat inside of them. The rigid foam boards are usually made from polystyrene or polyurethane. These rigid barriers act as a waterproof barrier which means that the rising warm air cannot escape from them.
It doesn’t matter if you have already converted your loft into additional space, the insulation boards can be cut down to the size needed and placed behind the existing plaster board. The Insulation Company can guide and advise you which is the best option when insulating your loft space.
Under Floor Insulation
The best way to insulate your home from under the floor is via a cellar or a basement. This allows the insulation team enough access to the underfloor area, most older homes retain an amount of draughts and condensation, this was done so that bricks and wooden joists stopped rotting.
The Insulation Company specialise in under floor insulation, by over insulating these areas, it can create a flow of warm damp air that will filter into the cavities of walls and timbers and eventually cause them to rot. Getting the balance is as important.
Our team are able to come and fix the right amount of insulation boards, using Celotex and Kingspan the boards are fastened to the roof of the basement or cellar, and can be plastered over, once the insulation is complete.
Uninsulated floors can loose about 15% of heat from your home, so any ground floor rooms should be insulated accordingly. This is an ideal solution for terrace and older homes, more often The Insulation Company will find that the property has other areas, that would benefit from being insulated, via the Government grant scheme. Saving you and your family money, bringing down the rising cost of energy bills and helping create a cleaner, greener planet by lowering the carbon footprint.
